Arab and Chinese Library Science Experts at BA

As part of the ongoing cooperation between the BA and the Arab League, the BA hosted a delegation of Arab and Chinese library science experts on Tuesday, 28 April 2015. The event was titled “Arab-Chinese Cooperation in Library Science: Promising Horizons for a Real Partnership” and was held under the auspices of the Secretariat-General of the Arab League.
The delegation included the Director of the National Library of China and several library directors and senior officials from Sudan, Bahrain, Algeria, Qatar, and Lebanon.
The visit began with a meeting led by Lamia Abd el-Fattah, Head of the BA Library Sector, and the heads of the Library Sector departments to discuss the latest technologies and applications acquired by the BA in the field of library science. During the visit, delegation members expressed their admiration for the BA and its numerous activities and public services.
The BA aims to host more events that will hopefully encourage future exchange of experiences in the field of library science.
