Serageldin Speaks about the Clash and Alliance of Civilizations in Cairo University

Alexandria—Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will give a Lecture in Ahmed Lotfy El-Sayed Hall in Cairo University on 16 April 2009.
Entitled “From Clash of Civilizations to Alliance of Civilizations”, Serageldin will tackle the role of the Alliance of Civilizations in decreasing the gaps between different cultures and nations, and establishing partnerships that foster dialogue between cultures.
The Lecture follows Serageldin’s participation in the Second Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations held in Istanbul earlier this month. As ambassador of the Alliance, Serageldin , together with more than 400 high profile individuals from all over the world, discussed means for promoting intercultural dialogue and developing national policies that consider cultural differences.
