The BA Launches Dr. Moustafa Elfeki’s Website

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki’s website was launched today, 13 February 2019, in Arabic and English, in honor of his professional career as a prominent diplomat and one of the most remarkable Egyptian intellectuals, in addition to his position as the Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The new website features Dr. Elfeki’s biography, prizes and accolades, articles, news written about him in the Egyptian, Arab and international press, TV interviews, books and publications, as well as a photo gallery documenting public and personal events.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Moustafa Elfeki was appointed Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2017, following his predecessor Dr. Ismail Serageldin. Dr. Elfeki held several positions in the Egyptian Diplomatic Corps after obtaining his PhD in Political Science from the University of London. He was Egypt's Ambassador to several countries, in addition to his work in the Egyptian presidency. He also held several prominent positions in Arabic and International entities. Moreover, he is one of the founding members of the British University in Egypt and its first President. Dr. Elfeki lectures in many Egyptian and international universities, and has several publications and contributions to the academic and cultural sectors and civil societies. He was also Egypt’s official candidate for the position of Secretary General of the Arab League in 2011.
