“Street Window”, A Street Children Event

The BA Main Library holds an event about street and homeless children entitled “Street Window” on Tuesday, 16 April 2013.
The event aims to spread public awareness about this crucial issue and how to positively tackle it. It features presentations from several entities that support these children in different ways. Presentations include one from Mr. Hany Mouris, Head of Protecting and Rehabilitating Children Exposed to Danger Sector, Caritas Egypt; Ms. Rania Fahmy, Executive Director of Banati (My Daughters) Foundations; and Mr. Ahmed Nagy, Coordinator of “A Bright Child not Street Child” Initiative, in addition to a lecture by Ms. Gehan Shafiq, Assistant Lecturer, Psychology Department, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University.
This is followed by a screening of parts of El-Banat Dol, (These Girls), a documentary directed by Tahany Rashed.
The event starts at 12:00 noon at the BACC Lecture Hall, and is open for public.
