The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra inaugurates its 2025/2026 artistic season with a major choral work premiered by contemporary Australian composer Lee Bradshaw, winner of several international awards, entitled “Requiem for Those Left Behind,” in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in Cairo.
The Australian Embassy praised the idea behind the project and this cultural collaboration, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of Egyptian-Australian relations.
The concerts will be held on Friday, 12 September, at 8:00 pm in the Great Hall of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and on Saturday, 13 September, at 8:00 pm at All Saints Cathedral in Zamalek.
The concerts will be conducted by Maestro Nayer Nagui, principal conductor of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra.
