South African Minister of Foreign Affairs Visits the BA

Alexandria— Dr. Nkosazana Diamini Zuma, South African Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by a senior delegation visited the BA on Tuesday, 24 June 2008, as a scientific and cultural complex not only in Egypt and the Middle East, but in the entire world.

Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, accompanied the delegation on a tour of the Library, and the different services offered by the BA to members and visitors. The tour included the Manuscripts and Antiquities Museums, the Digital Lab, VISTA, the Planetarium Science Center, CULTURAMA, and the Alexploratorium.

Dr. Nkosazana Diamini Zuma and the delegation viewed the BA multimedia show (short documentary of the BA), and listened to an explanation on the Internet Archive, Description de l’Egypte, and Gamal Abdel Nasser’s website.
