Posted on

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in French on Monday, 4 October 2010. Participants will read La Guerre de Troie N’aura Pas Lieu (Tiger at the Gates) by Jean Giraudoux.

The play revolves around the impending war that threatens Troy after Prince Paris kidnaps Helen, Queen of Sparta . But Troy is divided into two camps: one inflaming war and patriotic feelings, and the other, led by Prince Hector, the elder son of the King, seeking to evade war at any cost. Meanwhile, militants in both cities try to thwart the peace efforts. In the midst of all these tensions, can the Trojan War be avoided?

The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
