The Lesson in a Play Reading at the BA

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in English on Wednesday, 10 November 2010. Participants will read La Leçon (The Lesson) by Eugene Ionesco.
The Lesson is an hour-long exchange between a professor and a pupil. As the lesson progresses, the Professor grows more and more angry with what he perceives as the Pupil's ignorance and the Pupil becomes more and more quiet and meek. The comedy satirizes the education along with the power and authority represented by the teacher.
The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
