Environment of Alexandria in a Seminar at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria —the BA is organizing a two day regional seminar as of march 5, entitled Environment of Alexandria and Some Mediterranean Cities, in cooperation with the World Bank, Marseille, Alexandria Governor, and Onyx. General Abdel Salam Al-Mahgoub, Alexandria Governor.
The seminar is discussing issues related to the environment of Alexandria and the experiences of some Mediterranean cities in this respect, such as Marseille and Barcelona. Other themes discussed in the seminar include challenges facing cities to effectively manage the environment of slums; effective means to provide clean water and get rid of solid wastes and the role of private sector; the role of governors and citizens in water management and required technical and financial assistances; finally assistances and expertise exchange in the Mediterranean cities in environmental issues.
